containerio Docs

containerio is the shared Storage handler of Alliance SwissPass.

It provides a unified interface for reading and writing data to both the local filesystem and Azure Blob Storage. This allows seamless switching between local development and cloud environments including CI/CD.

containerio ships as Python and R packages with seamless integration into R projects:

  • py-containerio — the core Python package
  • r-containerio — R companion package that interfaces and extends the Python runtime features
